About CenMED Scholar
CenMED Scholar is a centralised collection of courses, services and resources hosted on a databased driven repository and accessible on the Internet at any time. It provides Just-In-Time (JIT) learning as well as adapted learning through analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the learner and will automatically recommend remedial learning courses and/or create suitable learning plans and activities to provide guidance to the learner.
Learners on completion of courses on CenMED Scholar will be certified to a certain level of competency and will then be able to create their learning portfolio which they could use to support their promotion and tenure as well as to manage and plan their professional development and monitor their learning journey. Information from this portal will also be available to the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) leadership and administration and help in their strategic planning efforts to support NUS Medicine’s goals and vision.
CenMED Scholar contains a host of multimedia enabled learning objects from interactive e-books, health education related articles, audio and video training materials, web links, online surveys and assessments, high resolution images and other relevant medical objects. It aims to provide guidance on learning and make learning easy for the busy clinicians and educators.
