Take a Pre-Assessment before commencing the following course
Through this course, the participant will learn the basic principles of pedagogy related to the core aspects of curriculum organisation, teaching and learning, and assessment. Such theoretical background would assist the participant in the subsequent face-to-face sessions, to customise and contextualise the general educational principles that they learned during online learning, to training of pharmacy students and pre-registration pharmacists in workplace-based learning settings.
During this session, the participants should:
- Complete self-reading and reflection notes
- Submit sample learning outcomes and objectives, teaching and learning activities and assessment for a teaching and learning session of their own in relation to the PECT training manual.
At the end of both online and face-to-face training the participant should have achieved the following learning outcomes.
1. Explain the fundamental theories and commonly used terminologies in healthcare education
2. Develop Learning Objectives/Outcome (LO) statements
3. Design Workplace Based Teaching and Learning Activities (TLA)
4. Be effective assessors in Workplace Based Assessment Tasks (AT)
5. Provide constructive Feedback to students for continual development
6. Engage in program evaluation plans
