Instructions to Participants:
- Take a Pre-Assessment before commencing the following course
Through this course, the participant will learn the basic principles of workplace-based assessment, feedback and mentoring. Such theoretical background would assist the participant in the subsequent face-to-face sessions, to customise and contextualise the general educational principles that they learned during online learning, to training of allied health students in workplace-based learning settings.
During this session, the participants should:
- complete self-reading and reflection notes
- complete the post-assessment to proceed to the next module
At the end of both online and face-to-face training the participant should have achieved the following learning outcomes.
1. Explain the fundamental theories and commonly used terminologies in healthcare education
2. Design Workplace Based Teaching and Learning Activities (TLA)
3. Be effective assessors in Workplace Based Assessment Tasks (AT)
4. Provide constructive feedback to students for continual development
5. Apply mentorship principles in guiding the students appropriately
