Background

All learners are different but most educational presentations and materials are the same for all. Furthermore, every learner goes through the same content arrangement in learning. This creates a learning problem as research has shown that not every learner goes through the same cognitive process. Some learners might be able to catch up, some learners get bored halfway through a lesson and others feel lost. Customised courses offer a solution to this problem based on the adaptive learning principle. It uses data about a learner’s to create a personalised path through educational content and recommend relevant content according to a learner’s need.

Introduction

All selected courses will begin with an assessment to assess each learner’s skill level through a pre-test. Then a learning plan with goals and objectives will be suggested for the learner. The learner can begin the course(s) designed to address and improve comprehension of the concepts based on his/her chosen learning path. Finally, learner’s progression will be assessed with a post-test.
